Shania Twain began her career in the music industry as a vocalist. Her debut studio album, simply titled Shania Twain, was issued the next year, in 1993. In addition to this, during the same year, she performed as a lead artist for the singles What made you say that Dance with the one that brought you and You lay a whole lot of love on me. In the same year, she also gave performances on a tour that was co-headlined and was called the Triple Play tour.
