After a year of wavering return-to-office chats and putting our cute blazers and work dresses on the back burner in our closets, it’s now time to rethink our fall wardrobe.

That means investing in new pieces and walking out of the coronavirus pandemic blues and into the revitalized fall fashion feels.

Perfect timing, too, because M.M.LaFleur — a high-end retailer known for its luxurious basics with “timeless staples” overtly sewn into each of its pieces — launched its Fall 2021 Collection today.

“While we’ve always seen comfort as an essential part of M.M.’s clothing, the definition of ‘comfortable’ was really redefined during the pandemic,” Callie Kant, five-year vice president of Brand and Creative at M.M.LaFleur, told The Post. “We now think of comfort as liberating, soft against your skin and able to help you show up as the best version of yourself—and this kind of comfort is what our fall collection is all about. “

Labeled “For My Next Trick,” the collection’s slogan is “Styles for whatever you decide is next — your next outfit, your next move, your next trick.”

“Our Fall collection features an assortment of fabrics and yarns that elevate thoughtful and refined silhouettes while still keeping comfort top of mind,” Kant added. “Among our key styles are buttery, vegan-leather leggings; weather-proof jackets that fold into compact portable bags; our softest, most indulgent cashmere yet; and suits that are sharp in silhouette but soft in touch.”

Find our 20 favorites from the collection below, starting with Kant’s top-five favorite pieces. You’ll be stepping out in a fresh, new wardrobe just in time for fall.

M.M.LaFleur’s Top 5 Favorite ‘For My Next Trick’ Pieces

The Chloe Dress, $240

The Chloe has the vibe of a leather minidress—but it’s 100% vegan and office-appropriate,” Kant said. “A not-too-tight, shift-style cut balances out a shorter hemline, while princess seams complement your shape.”

She recommended layering it over lightweight turtlenecks like the Axam for extra coverage. “Our vegan leather material has a soft, buttery feel and will crease over time with wear,” she added.

The O’Hara Blazer — Plaid Knit, $395

“This sleek boyfriend blazer is crafted from a gorgeous Italian cotton-blend knit that has the look of vintage suiting but the softness and comfort of loungewear,” Kant detailed. “It has a slightly boxy cut and long hemline, balanced by a slim fit through the shoulders.”

Plus, The O’Hara in Plaid Knit is unlined, so you can enjoy the natural stretch and coziness of the fabric, she adds.

The Shiloh Pant — Plaid Knit, $225

“The Shiloh Pants are crafted from a gorgeous Italian cotton-blend knit that has the look of vintage suiting but the softness and comfort of loungewear,” Kant said.

The Theo Pullover — Plush Cashmere, $395

“Not all cashmere is created equal — and this plush cashmere is the best of the best,” Kant explained. “Made from an ultra-heavy gauge, it’s incredibly rich and so soft you could melt. The oversized Theo Pullover has a low scoop neck and layering-friendly fit.”

And, just like a fine wine, “your cashmere will improve over time if properly cared for,” Kant added. Limit trips to the dry cleaner and treat it gently.

The Nina Boot, $495

“Talk about a statement shoe — the Nina is the showstopper you’ve been waiting for,” Kant shareed. “Made using a low-waste 3D knitting process, these knit boots feature extra-supportive footbeds, natural odor resistance and 3-inch scratch-resistant heels.”

And, thanks to their 3D knit construction, these shoes “will mold to the foot and feel like they were made just for you—with incredible stretch and recovery,” she added.

Our favorites from M.M.LaFleur’s Fall 2021 Collection

The Cynthia Dress —Washable Wool Twill, $295

“This belted sheath dress features a figure-skimming silhouette with just the right amount of waist definition,” according to M.M.LaFleur. “The square-shaped neckline and back add an eye-catching element to your everyday ensemble, and lingerie snaps keep your bra straps securely in place.”

The Athens Half Zip — Jardigan Knit, $225

“Crafted from the same stretchy-yet-structured yarn as our jardigans, this menswear-inspired pullover features a mock neck, half zipper, and slightly oversized cut,” according to M.M.LaFleur. “For fans of the popular Para Sweatshirt, the Athens offers the same relaxed fit.”

The Hugo Necklace Set, $125

“Necklace-layering has never been easier, thanks to the on-trend Hugo set,” per the brand. “Wear the necklaces together for a bold look, or on their own for something more subtle.” Plus, it’s made from gold-plated stainless steel.

The Maaza Dress — Crepe, $136 (originally $195)

“This petite-friendly shift dress is just the thing to throw on when you need to look polished in seconds flat,” according to the brand. “Made from a machine-washable fabric, it features a rounded neckline, hidden pockets along the front seams and extended cap sleeves that cover the shoulders.”

The Clark Parka — AirTech, $365

“Constructed from our lightweight-yet-cozy AirTech fabric — which is made from GRS-certified recycled nylon — the Clark Parka features large lapels that can be worn overlapping for a double-breasted look or splayed like a collar,” according to M.M.LaFleur.

Plus, the included belt keeps you cinched in, while the ribbed cuffs prevent wind from getting in. It’s great to layer over the Britt Hoodie or a cashmere sweater for added warmth.

The Dae Top — Silk Jersey, $265

“This off-the-shoulder top has wow factor — and it feels as good as it looks since it’s cut from machine-washable, 100% silk jersey that truly feels like butter,” according to M.M.LaFleur. “The fold-over neckline is adjustable, meaning it works for a wide range of bust sizes and body types.”

The Lilia Jacket — Interweave, $395

“Expertly crafted in Japan, the Lilia Jacket is a study in luxurious construction and thoughtful details,” per the brand. “From the decorative contrast trim and sleeve fringe to the beautiful hook-and-eye closures, each design element was made with care.”

What’s more, the Lilia is cropped and constructed from knit panels for a breathable and comfortable fit.

The Nejvi Top — Soft Wave, $145

“The Nejvi Top is the intersection of three of our favorite things: a classic tee shape, elegant draping and machine-washable, travel-friendly fabric,” according to the brand. “A seam at the natural waist counters a relaxed fit through the shoulders and chest, creating a sleek shape.”

The Frederick Cardigan — Fine Alpaca, $295

“Our gorgeous fine alpaca material is ultra-soft, hypoallergenic and cozy yet incredibly breathable,” per M.M.LaFleur. “It’s also ridiculously lightweight and easy to take on the go (our knitwear designer described it as “a cozy cloud”).”

Plus, the Frederick Cardigan offers “a relaxed silhouette, built-up neckline, roomy fit through the sleeves and easy-to-roll cuffs.”

The Zhou Culotte — Crepe, $225

“These wide-leg beauties feature an understated pleat at each side-seam, which creates a sleek, flattering line and puts a swish in your step,” according to the brand. “The Zhou has a high rise and front closure that fastens comfortably at the natural waist.”
